3 patches across 3 counties. The season opens September 10 at Sweet Berry Farm.
3 of the 24 Texas patches we track are in Hill Country, spread across Bandera County, Burnet County, Gillespie County. 3 of them run a corn or crop maze, and 2 have farm animals your kids can get close to. 1 have their 2026 dates confirmed on the farm's own site.
Texas splits two ways, and it is worth knowing which half you are visiting. Most metro-area patches truck their pumpkins in and arrange them; what you are paying for is the festival, the backdrop and the activities, not a field someone harvested. West Texas is the exception — Floydada has called itself the Pumpkin Capital of the USA for good reason. Either way, heat is the planning problem rather than cold: go at opening or in the evening, which is why so many Texas farms run their mazes after dark.
