Pumpkin Patch Map (https://pumpkinpatchmap.com) is a directory of pumpkin patches and corn mazes. This page explains what information this site collects, what it doesn't, and how third parties — including Google advertising, Amazon affiliate links, and map providers — are involved.
There are no user accounts, no sign-up forms, and no first-party tracking cookies. This site does not run its own analytics. Nothing you do here is stored in a database tied to you.
The homepage requests an approximate city or region from ipapi.is using your public IP address. That provider receives your IP and standard request information. We use the approximate area to show nearby farms. We do not retain the returned IP address. The approximate area is cached in this browser tab for up to six hours to avoid repeated requests; it is not sent to our server. A failed lookup is remembered for ten minutes. Network location may be inaccurate, especially with a VPN or mobile connection. You can search for a different city or ZIP.
The homepage and map can show patches sorted by distance from you. If you click to use this feature, your browser asks your permission for your location directly — we never see it, request it automatically, or store it. The calculation happens entirely in your browser and the location is discarded when you leave the page.
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technology to serve ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and control the ads you see, including opting out of personalized advertising, at adssettings.google.com.
Google requires a certified consent-management platform when serving personalized ads to visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Some guides include clearly labeled Amazon affiliate links. Selecting one sends you to Amazon with our Associates tracking ID, which lets Amazon attribute qualifying purchases to this site. When you search by ZIP code, that ZIP code is sent to Zippopotam.us to find its approximate center. The service also receives standard web request information. Distances are calculated in your browser; your precise browser location is not sent to this ZIP lookup service.
The interactive map on this site loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Loading a map tile is a standard web request to OpenStreetMap's servers, the same as loading any image from a third-party server — see OpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy for how they handle that.
Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. We don't access these for tracking purposes and they aren't linked to any personal profile.
If you email us — to correct a listing, list your farm, or ask a question — we use your email address only to reply to you. We don't add it to a mailing list or share it with anyone else.
